Flashed-based tutorials for RISAFoundation
In this four-part tutorial, we’ll focus on building RISAFoundation models from scratch. With the guidance of the following four tutorials, you will build, solve, and modify a typical industrial foundation system comprised of several different types of foundations.
We’ll run through the steps of each segment in the four-part tutorial quickly, covering as much information as we can. You are not expected to follow along in RISAFoundation. The purpose is to give you an excellent overview of the software. For a detailed, step-by-step explanation of each tutorial, please consult the RISAFoundation User’s Guide.
The tutorials are self-running, voice- and text-narrated Flash® tours. A fast Internet connection and a screen resolution of at least 1024x768 is required.
If you have Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed, Internet Explorer Popup Blocker will prevent the tour from running properly. Please add “risatech.com” to your Trusted Sites list for the best experience. If you are using custom level for your trusted site, make sure “risatech.com” is able to popup window as well as initialize window in full screen.
The available tutorials are listed below. To start a tutorial, click its name.
In Tutorial 1, we'll model a project grid, a slab, several footings and grade beams, and explore the Global Parameters of the model.
One of the most powerful features of RISAFoundation is the ability to quickly make changes to an existing model without having to recreate the model–this tutorial will demonstrate how.
In this tutorial, we'll expand on the load generation of Tutorial 2 and add some additional line loads and point loads.
In Tutorial 4, we'll solve our model and review the results.
